IT'S A WHOLE NEW WORLD
Guiding Children with Clarity, Courage, and Connection
Parents today are navigating unfamiliar territory.
When you suspect your child is facing social, emotional, or physical challenges, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But before anything else—before labels, evaluations, or plans—start here:
Start with Face-to-Face Connection
Have real conversations with trusted individuals—teachers, coaches, professionals who know your child.
Be honest.
Be specific.
Share the behaviors and challenges you’ve observed.
Yes, public schools have a legal responsibility to evaluate and support students with disabilities. But even more important than the system is your mindset moving through it.
Slow Down. Build a Plan.
Panic and fear don’t solve problems.
Clear thinking and steady action do.
Create a thoughtful, caring “to-do list” plan:
Evaluations
Referrals
Team-based interventions
And protect that plan.
Negativity, doubt, and constant second-guessing—even if common—have no place in a child’s growth process. Surround your child with people who believe in progress.
Respect the Brain
The most important “muscle” we have is the brain.
It is constantly growing, adapting, and responding to its environment—especially in children.
That’s why Get On Track NFP was founded:
to create “A Whole New World of Hope” for youth and families facing:
Addictive screen behaviors
Autism
Emotional and developmental challenges
We bring together a network of professionals who listen first—then guide with real-world experience, honesty, and practical strategies.
Through mind-over-matter instruction, movement, and meaningful interaction, we help children build:
Focus
Impulse control
Confidence
Independence
All while pushing back against the subtle but powerful pull of screens and the marketing that often robs children of their innocence and attention.
A Moment of Progress
Let me share something real.
During a recent visit to Caleb’s school—and later at a Lombard Strength & Fitness training session—we saw something powerful.
Caleb was fully engaged:
Focused with his teacher
On task with his coach
When I first arrived, he briefly acknowledged me… then stayed locked into his work.
Thirty minutes later, as we left, I received a bright, genuine:
“Goodbye!”
That’s progress.
Those are the moments that matter.
Not perfection—progress.
Sometimes, they even feel like miracles. And they are made possible through consistent, caring intervention. (Watch video.)
What Children Really Need
Children don’t need perfection.
They need presence.
They need to know:
You are there. You care. You see them.
Here’s where to focus:
Acknowledge effort
Win or lose—recognize the attempt and encourage problem-solving.Prioritize family conversation
Meal times matter. Listening should never be tuned out.Set consistent boundaries
Around screens, social media, friendships, play, and sleep.
The Takeaway
Brains are developing at every age.
When we surround children with trusted relationships, strong values, and consistent support, we give them the tools to build:
Self-worth
Resilience
Confidence
Together, we can help them navigate life’s ups and downs—even in a world constantly trying to shape them.
Because in the end…
It’s not about controlling the world around them.
It’s about strengthening who they become within it.
